Which 2960X do I need?
Read the model name: the number is the port count, T means data only, P means PoE+, LP and FP mark lower and higher PoE budgets on 48-port models, S means 1 GbE SFP uplinks and D means two 10 GbE SFP+ uplinks. The suffix shows the software feature set: -L is LAN Base and -LL is LAN Lite. Check the PoE budget in the listing against the phones, access points and cameras you will power. For stacking, use LAN Base (-L) models with a stack module in each switch and the right stack cables; give us your existing switch part numbers and we will confirm the match. The 2960X has a built-in power supply; the PWR-C2 field-replaceable supplies are for the 2960XR: Catalyst 2960XR.
Frequently asked questions
