Dell PowerSwitch N4000 switches are 10 GbE campus aggregation and core switches running Dell OS6. The N4032 and N4064 have 10GBASE-T copper ports and the N4032F and N4064F have 10 GbE SFP+ ports; the 64-port models add two 40 GbE QSFP+ ports, and models have a module slot for more ports. Which N4000 do I need?
Choose by port type: 10GBASE-T copper (N4032, N4064) or SFP+ fiber and DAC (N4032F, N4064F), then add a module for more 40 GbE or 10GBASE-T ports. Check the airflow stated in the listing for each switch and power supply; Dell lists front-to-back and back-to-front supplies under different part numbers, and the switch and its supplies should match. Some N4032F units carry the earlier 8132F model name. For a stack, give us your existing part numbers and OS6 release and we will confirm the match.
Frequently asked questions
Is the N4032F the same as the PowerConnect 8132F?
The N4032F is the later PowerSwitch name for the same hardware platform as the 8132F, and some units carry the earlier label. Check the listing for the label and software on the unit.
