Which version do I need?
Choose the EX4100 when you want 25 Gigabit uplinks or dedicated stacking ports. Choose the EX4100-F when 10 Gigabit uplinks are enough and price matters most. PoE models need the higher-wattage power supply to power every port. AFO in a part number means front-to-back airflow.

What is the difference between the EX4100 and the EX4400?
The EX4100 is the 1 Gigabit access switch. The EX4400 adds multigigabit ports, 90W PoE++ and a modular uplink slot for larger or faster deployments.
Do I need Juniper Mist to use an EX4100?
No. It runs Junos OS and can be managed from the command line as well as from Mist.
