The Cisco Meraki MR28-HW is an entry-level Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor access point managed from the Meraki cloud dashboard. It is built for small offices, retail shops, home offices, waiting rooms and other light- to medium-density spaces that want Wi-Fi 6 and Meraki cloud management at the lowest cost in the lineup.
It runs 2x2:2 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, for up to 1.5 Gbps combined radio rate, and adds a Bluetooth Low Energy radio for beacons and BLE scanning. Security includes a Layer 7 firewall, WIDS/WIPS, WPA3, and 802.1X. It has one Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) and runs on standard 802.3af PoE, so it works with your existing PoE switch or the MA-PWR-30W-XX AC adapter.
Choose the MR28 when you need reliable Wi-Fi 6 for a small site and do not need a dedicated scanning radio or a multigigabit uplink. It ships with its mount plate and is sold unclaimed, so you can claim it into your own Meraki organization. A Meraki license is required and is sold separately. Covered by our 365-day warranty.
