HPE Aruba R8S89A is a fixed-configuration network switch from Hewlett Packard Enterprise featuring 24 x 10GbE Class 6 PoE RJ45 ports, 2 x 25Gb SFP28 ports, and 2 x 50Gb SFP56 ports. It supports switching capacity up to 880 Gbps and forwarding rates up to 660 Mpps.
The switch provides a 16 MB packet buffer and a MAC address table size of 32,768 entries. Measured latency is 4.24 µs at 1Gbps, 1.50 µs at 10Gbps, 2.91 µs at 25Gbps, and 3.49 µs at 50Gbps. The 24 PoE-enabled 10GbE ports support high-power devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. The integrated 25Gb and 50Gb uplink ports support high-speed aggregation or core connectivity. Module slots allow expansion or uplink flexibility where supported. The switch is suited for high-density access deployments requiring multi-gigabit copper connectivity with high-speed fiber uplinks.
