The F5-UPG-QSFP+LR4 by F5 is a QSFP+ transceiver module supporting data rates up to 40 Gbps. It operates over single-mode fiber using four wavelengths around 1310 nm and connects via a duplex LC/UPC interface.
This transceiver supports distances up to 10 km, making it suitable for long-reach links in compatible QSFP+ ports. Power type is hot-pluggable optical with Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) support included. Commonly used in aggregation switches or core routers, device use depends on host platform compatibility with the LR4 optical standard within IEEE specifications.
