The Cisco GLC-BX80-U-I is a 1 Gbps SFP transceiver module manufactured by Cisco. It features an SFP form factor and supports bidirectional data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) with transmit wavelength at 1490 nm and receive wavelength at 1570 nm.
This model uses a Simplex LC/UPC connector and supports distances up to 80 km, making it suitable for long-range optical links in point-to-point applications. Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) support allows monitoring of real-time parameters such as temperature, voltage, laser bias current, transmitted power, and received power when used with compatible hardware platforms supporting DOM functionality.
