Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6860E-U28, manufactured by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, is a fixed rack-mount switch with 28 × 1 Gb SFP ports and 4 × 10 Gb SFP+ uplinks. It supports a switching capacity of up to 224 Gb/s and a forwarding rate of up to 160.9 Mpps.
The unit supports up to 4,000 VLANs and a MAC address table size of 48,000 entries. It is suited for aggregation or access roles that require high port density with fiber interfaces. The switch is designed for rack installation and operates with standard AC power, providing low-latency packet processing for consistent data handling.
