The platform supports high-speed Ethernet switching with a 32 MB packet buffer and a MAC address table size of 147,456 entries.
This CX 8100 Series switch is designed for data center and aggregation deployments requiring high throughput and consistent packet handling. Front-to-back airflow supports rack-mounted installations with hot aisle and cold aisle layouts. The hardware architecture supports large Layer 2 domains and high-density traffic aggregation where deterministic latency and buffer capacity are required.
