Which antenna do I need?

Use an omni (MA-ANT-20 outdoors, MA-ANT-3-A6 indoors) to cover the area all around the access point. Use a patch (MA-ANT-25, MA-ANT-3-E6) when the AP is on a wall and should cover one side only. Use a sector (MA-ANT-21, -23, -27) or the narrow patch (MA-ANT-3-F6) to reach far in one direction: long warehouse aisles, parking lots, stadium seating or a building across the yard. Higher dBi means a narrower beam that reaches farther.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some listings say MR74 or MR84?
Those are the same antennas, listed for the access point they are most often bought with. MA-ANT-20, -21, -23, -25 and -27 fit both the MR74 and MR84.

Do Meraki APs without an E in the model need antennas?
No. Models such as the MR46 and MR56 have antennas built in. Only models with external antenna connectors need MA-ANT antennas.
