Brocade built three separate lines of enterprise networking equipment: Fibre Channel SAN switches, ICX and FastIron campus switches, and NetIron, MLX and VDX data center switches and routers. When Brocade was split up, each line went a different way. Broadcom kept the Fibre Channel SAN switches, the ICX campus switches continued under the Ruckus brand, and Extreme Networks took the data center switching and routing products. The hardware in service still carries the Brocade label, so this page lists every Brocade-labeled switch, router, power supply, fan and optic we sell, refurbished, used and new, and every unit is tested before it ships so it works when it arrives.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Ruckus ICX switch the same as a Brocade ICX switch?
The ICX product line continued under the Ruckus brand. Older models carry the Brocade name and later models the Ruckus name, and they share the ICX model numbering and FastIron software. Check the specific model for compatibility when mixing them in one stack.

Who supports Brocade equipment now?
It depends on the line. Broadcom handles the Fibre Channel SAN switches, Ruckus the ICX switches, and Extreme Networks the VDX, NetIron and MLX products. Many older Brocade models are past end-of-support, which is why buyers use tested refurbished units as replacements and spares.
