The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48HX-E is a 1U rack-mount switch in Cisco's Catalyst 9300X modular-uplink series, measuring 1.73 in (4.39 cm) high and 17.3 in (44.0 cm) wide. It provides 48 Multigigabit UPoE+ RJ45 ports, supporting 100M to 10G Ethernet over Category 5e, 6, or 6a cabling, along with one expansion module slot supporting 10G, 25G, 40G, or 100G uplink modules.
Switching capacity is 1,760 Gbps, rising to 2,760 Gbps when stacked, with a forwarding rate of 1309 Mpps (2232 Mpps stacked). PoE budget is 590 watts with the default power supply and up to 2490 watts with a second supply installed, supporting IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt powered devices such as wireless access points and IP cameras. The switch stacks with other Catalyst 9300X units over StackWise-1T cabling, and up to eight switches can join a single stack. It maintains a MAC address table of 32,000 entries and mounts in a standard 19-inch rack for wiring-closet or campus access layer deployment.
