The Cisco Meraki MR36-HW is a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor access point managed from the Meraki cloud dashboard, for offices, schools, clinics, and shops. It mounts on a ceiling, a wall, or a desk, and it is the lowest-cost Meraki Wi-Fi 6 AP with a dedicated security scanning radio.

It runs 2x2:2 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, for up to 1.5 Gbps combined radio rate. A third, dedicated dual-band radio scans full-time for rogue devices, attacks, and RF interference, so security monitoring and location analytics never take airtime from your users. A Bluetooth Low Energy radio handles beacons and BLE scanning. It has one Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) and runs at full performance on standard 802.3af PoE, or on a 12 V DC adapter.

Choose the MR36 for full-time security scanning; step up to the MR44 when you need 4x4 on 5 GHz and a 2.5 Gbps uplink. Cisco supports the MR36 until December 31, 2031. It ships with its mounting hardware and is sold unclaimed, so you can claim it into your own Meraki organization. A Meraki license is required and is sold separately.
