SonicWall Accessories - Power, Mounting, Injectors and Cables
SonicWall Accessories covers the parts that do not come in the box when a firewall or access point changes hands. A secondhand appliance almost never arrives with its original power adapter, its rack ears or its rails, and the unit is unusable or unmountable until those are replaced.
What is here
| Category | What it solves |
|---|---|
| Power Adapters and Supplies | An appliance that arrived without its brick, or a failed internal power module. Part numbers differ by generation, so a Gen 6 adapter will not serve a Gen 7 unit. |
| Rack Mount Kits and Brackets | Ears and rails for TZ, NSA, SMA and SuperMassive chassis. The Gen 6 NSA 2600 to 6600 bracket differs from the earlier 2400 to 4500 one. |
| PoE Injectors | 802.3at power for a SonicWave or SonicPoint access point where no PoE switch port is available. |
| Transceivers and cables | Direct attach copper and optics for the high-speed interfaces on NSa and NSsp appliances. |
The three mistakes worth avoiding
Assuming a power adapter crosses generations. Gen 6 and Gen 7 desktop appliances look alike and do not share a power supply. Order by part number, not by how the unit looks.
Using an 802.3af injector on an access point that needs 802.3at. The access point will boot and appear healthy, then drop radios under load. It is one of the hardest faults to trace back to its cause, because nothing points at the injector.
Buying ears when the chassis needs rails. Bracket ears hang the entire weight of the appliance from the front rack posts. On a deep or heavy chassis that is both unsafe and a nuisance to service.
Keeping these parts on the shelf is what turns a dead appliance into a short fix rather than an RMA and a wait. All of them are inexpensive relative to the downtime they prevent.
At NetworkTigers, we supply new and tested SonicWall accessories by part number, with fast shipping and a 365-day warranty.
