NEW Cisco Meraki FAN-MS420-R MS420 Series Switch Fan Module

The Cisco Meraki FAN-MS420-R is the replacement system fan module for Meraki MS420 Series aggregation switches. It moves air front to back, with intake on the port side, and it is hot-swappable, so a failed fan can be replaced while the switch keeps forwarding traffic.

Replace one fan at a time and fit the new module the same way as the others, since every fan in the switch must move air in the same direction. A failed fan raises internal temperature, and the Meraki Dashboard reports fan status for each switch, so a fan alert is usually the first sign that a module needs replacing.

Keeping a spare fan on the shelf is common practice for sites that cannot wait for a replacement to ship. Fans wear out over years of continuous running, and dust in closets without filtration shortens their life. The module fits the MS420 only; the MS350, MS410, and MS425 use MA-FAN-16K or MA-FAN-18K fans.
