The Cisco GLC-2BX-D is a single-port SFP transceiver from Cisco, using the SFP form factor. It supports 1 Gigabit transmission speeds over single-mode fiber (SMF) with wavelength operation at 1490nm transmit and 1310nm receive.

This module offers bidirectional communication on a single strand of SMF up to distances of 10 km, making it suitable for point-to-point links where limited fiber resources exist. It features an LC duplex connector type and digital optical monitoring (DOM) support for real-time diagnostics such as temperature and signal levels. Compatible with standard Ethernet switch ports that accept MSA-compliant SFP modules supporting BX optics configurations. Powered through the host device without external power or mounting required beyond insertion into compatible ports.
