NEW Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-25 Dual Band Patch Antenna for MR74 MR76 MR84 and MR86

The Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-25 is a dual-band patch antenna for Meraki outdoor access points with N-type antenna connectors. It is a single antenna with two ports, one for each polarization, with 8 dBi of gain on 2.4 GHz and 6.5 dBi on 5 GHz. Horizontal beamwidth is 60 degrees on 2.4 GHz and 75 degrees on 5 GHz.

A patch antenna points coverage in one direction with a wider beam than a sector antenna, which makes it a good fit for mounting on a wall or pole to cover the area in front of it, such as a loading dock, an entrance plaza, or one side of a building. It measures 7.1 x 7.1 inches and weighs 1.1 lb.

Meraki lists the MA-ANT-25 for the MR66, MR72, MR74, and MR86. Because it covers both bands in one housing, it needs fewer mounting points than a pair of single-band sector antennas. Outdoor Meraki access points such as the MR74, MR76, and MR86 use N-type antenna connectors, and each external antenna connects to the matching radio port on the AP. Plan cable runs short, since longer coax adds loss that cancels some of the antenna gain.
