NEW Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-27 Dual-Band WAP Sector Antenna for MR74 MR76 MR84 MR86

The Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-27 is a dual-band sector antenna for Meraki outdoor access points with N-type antenna connectors. Gain is 9 dBi on 2.4 GHz and 12 dBi on 5 GHz. Horizontal beamwidth is 86 degrees on 2.4 GHz and 65 degrees on 5 GHz, with 34 and 18 degrees vertical. It connects through two N-type ports with two 12-inch cables.

A sector antenna concentrates signal into a wedge in front of it, which extends range in one direction. Because the MA-ANT-27 covers both bands, one antenna replaces the pair of single-band MA-ANT-21 and MA-ANT-23 sector antennas. It measures 9.1 x 5.5 x 1.9 inches and weighs 1.4 lb.

Meraki lists the MA-ANT-27 for the MR74 and MR84, and the MR86 data sheet also lists it. Typical uses are covering a long building face, a sports field, or a parking area from a single pole. Outdoor Meraki access points such as the MR74, MR76, and MR86 use N-type antenna connectors, and each external antenna connects to the matching radio port on the AP. Plan cable runs short, since longer coax adds loss that cancels some of the antenna gain.
