The range runs from 1 GbE S3000 management switches through 10 GbE S4000 models to 25 and 100 GbE S5200 models, and many carry the -ON suffix for Dell open networking. Which S-Series switch do I need?
Pick the family by the server connection speed: 10 GbE fiber or copper points to the S4000 range, 25 GbE to the S5048F, S5148F or S5200 range, and 1 GbE management networks to the S3000 range. Then check the uplink speed and count, whether you need breakout cables, which operating system your network runs, the power supplies and fans installed, and the airflow direction named in the listing. If you are adding to an existing fabric, give us your current model numbers and we will help match them.
