Cisco Meraki CW9166I-MR Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax Internal Ant Unclaimed WAP w/ Mount

The Cisco Meraki CW9166I-MR is an indoor Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) access point in the Meraki cloud-managed version. It runs three 4x4 radios, and one of them is an XOR radio that switches between 6 GHz and a second 5 GHz channel. Maximum PHY rate is 7.78 Gbps, and internal omnidirectional antennas cover all bands.

The uplink is one Multigigabit RJ-45 port at 100M, 1G, 2.5G, or 5G. All radios run at 4x4 on either 802.3at PoE+ at 25.5W or 802.3bt at 30.5W; 802.3af is for staging only. The unit is 9.5 inches square and weighs 3.5 lb.

The XOR radio lets one model serve two kinds of site. Where clients are Wi-Fi 6E, the radio runs 6 GHz. Where most clients are still on 5 GHz, it runs as a second 5 GHz radio and doubles capacity in that band. That makes it a common choice for high-density offices, schools, and hospitals.
