The Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-3-A6 is a pack of six indoor dual-band dipole antennas for Meraki access points with external RP-TNC antenna connectors. Each dipole has 3.8 dBi of gain on 2.4 GHz and 5.5 dBi on 5 GHz, with an omnidirectional pattern and a 40-degree vertical beamwidth.

Dipoles screw directly onto the access point, so there is no cable and no separate mounting. They give the external-antenna version of an AP the same all-around coverage as an internal-antenna model, which is useful when the AP sits above a drop ceiling or inside an enclosure with the antennas poking through. Each dipole is 3.1 inches long and weighs under 0.1 lb.

Meraki lists the six-pack for the MR53E. The five-pack, MA-ANT-3-A5, is the version for the five-port MR42E. Count the antenna ports on your access point and order the matching pack, since every port needs an antenna for the AP to run correctly. The antennas are passive and need no configuration in the Meraki Dashboard.
