NEW Third Party for Cisco Meraki MA-SFP-10GB-LR 10GB BASE-LR 1310nm SMF SFP+

This listing covers the MA-SFP-10GB-LR, a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optic for 10 Gigabit links on Meraki switches and security appliances. Depending on the SKU, the unit is a Meraki-branded optic or a third-party optic coded for Meraki; the SKU title and photos show which.

It transmits at 1310nm over single-mode OS1 or OS2 fiber with a duplex LC connector, with a reach of 10 kilometers. That makes it the usual choice for links between buildings on a campus, to a distant closet, or to a carrier single-mode handoff.

Meraki lists the MA-SFP-10GB-LR for the MX95, MX105, MX250, MX400, MX450, and MX600 and for the MS125, MS130-X, MS225, MS250, MS350, MS355, MS390, MS410, and MS425 switch families. Both ends of a link must use 10GBASE-LR optics on single-mode fiber. Check that the far-end device and patch panels use single-mode fiber and LC connectors, since an LR optic will not link over multimode cable.
