The NVIDIA Mellanox MMA4Z00-NS400 is a 400Gb/s single-port OSFP transceiver for short multimode fiber links, reaching up to 50m on OM4 fiber or 30m on OM3. It is the adapter-side optic for 400Gb/s NDR InfiniBand and 400GbE networks, built with a flat-top shell to fit ConnectX-7 OSFP adapter cages.

Use it in a ConnectX-7 OSFP adapter to connect a GPU or compute server to a Quantum-2 switch, which uses twin-port optics such as the MMA4Z00-NS on the switch side. The transceiver uses an 850nm SR4 design with a single MPO-12/APC connector, so it needs APC multimode fiber; standard UPC connectors will not mate. It detects InfiniBand or Ethernet automatically from the switch it connects to, and can also run at 200Gb/s on splitter fiber.
