NEW Cisco Meraki MX450-HW 10 Gbps 10x SFP+ 8x SFP 8x RJ45 Unclaimed Firewall

The Cisco Meraki MX450-HW is a 1U rack-mount security and SD-WAN appliance for large campuses and VPN concentration, managed from the Meraki Dashboard. It has two 10 Gigabit SFP+ WAN ports. The LAN side has eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports, eight 1 Gigabit SFP ports, and eight 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports, plus a dedicated RJ-45 management port.

Meraki rates it at 10 Gbps maximum NAT firewall throughput, 6.5 Gbps site-to-site VPN throughput, and 5 Gbps next-generation firewall throughput (7 Gbps in detection mode). It is sized for up to 10,000 devices, as a campus edge or as the head-end concentrator for a large branch VPN.

It runs on two modular 250W AC power supplies and draws 105W idle and 190W at full load. Cooling comes from MA-FAN-18K system fans. The chassis is 19 inches wide, 17.3 inches deep, and 1.75 inches high and weighs 16 lb. With 18 fiber ports, plan the optics before the install. The appliance is sold unclaimed; a Meraki license is required, purchased separately.
