Alcatel-Lucent OS6850-48X is a rack‑mountable switch manufactured by Alcatel‑Lucent. It provides forty‑four 1 GbE RJ‑45 ports, two 10 GbE SFP+ uplink ports, and two 10 GbE stacking ports. The device operates with 256 MB SDRAM and supports gigabit and 10‑gigabit data transmission rates.
This switch supports stacking for high‑density configurations and is compatible with Alcatel‑Lucent OmniSwitch series hardware. It uses standard Ethernet protocols and may be managed through CLI or web interface. The OS6850‑48X is powered by an internal supply and supports front‑to‑back airflow. Mounting is completed in a standard 19‑inch rack. It is suited to aggregation or access layers where multiple gigabit links and limited 10G connectivity are required.
