PRECISION PRE-SFP10G-SR-MRKI 10GB SR SFP+ for Cisco Meraki MA-SFP-10GB-SR

The PRECISION PRE-SFP10G-SR-MRKI is a third-party 10GBASE-SR SFP+ optic made by PRECISION and coded to work in Cisco Meraki equipment as an equivalent to the Meraki MA-SFP-10GB-SR. It is not a Cisco-made part. It carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fiber at 850nm with a duplex LC connector, which fits standard multimode patch cords.

The listing gives a reach of 400 meters on OM4 multimode fiber. That covers the usual 10 Gigabit uplinks inside one building, from a closet switch to the core or between switches in a data room.

Coded compatible optics are a common way to fill several uplink ports at lower cost than branded parts.
