The NEW Cisco Catalyst C9300-48P-A is a 1U rack-mount switch in Cisco's Catalyst 9300 modular-uplink series, measuring 1.73 in (4.39 cm) high and 17.3 in (44.0 cm) wide. It provides 48 PoE+ RJ45 ports operating at 10/100/1000 Mbps over Category 5e or better cabling, along with one expansion module slot for 1G, 10G, 25G, or 40G uplinks.
Switching capacity is 256 Gbps, rising to 736 Gbps when stacked, with a forwarding rate of 190.48 Mpps (547.62 Mpps stacked). PoE budget is 437 watts with the default power supply and up to 1440 watts with a second supply installed, supporting IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at powered devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and security cameras. The switch stacks with other Catalyst 9300 modular-uplink units over StackWise-480 cabling, and up to eight switches can join a single stack. It maintains a MAC address table of 32,000 entries and mounts in a standard 19-inch rack.
