The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48HXN-E is a 1U rack-mount switch in Cisco's Catalyst 9300X modular-uplink series, measuring 1.73 in high and 17.3 in wide. It provides 8 Multigigabit UPoE+ RJ45 ports at up to 10G and 40 Multigigabit UPoE+ RJ45 ports at up to 5G, over Category 5e or better cabling, plus one expansion module slot for 10G, 25G, 40G, or 100G uplinks.
Switching capacity is 960 Gbps, rising to 1,960 Gbps when stacked, with a forwarding rate of 714.24 Mpps (1458.24 Mpps stacked). PoE budget is 690 watts with the default power supply and up to 2590 watts with a second supply installed, supporting IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt powered devices such as wireless access points and IP cameras. The switch stacks with other Catalyst 9300X units over StackWise-1T cabling, and up to eight switches can join a single stack. It maintains a MAC address table of 32,000 entries and mounts in a standard 19-inch rack.
