Cisco Meraki CAB-SPWR-150CM-M Catalyst 9300-M 150cm StackPower Cable

The Cisco Meraki CAB-SPWR-150CM-M is a 150cm (59-inch) StackPower cable for Catalyst 9300-M and 9300X-M switches managed from the Meraki Dashboard. It connects the StackPower ports on the rear of two switches so they share power supply capacity.

StackPower runs in a ring of up to four switches. Pooled power lets one switch borrow capacity from another when a supply fails, or when one switch needs more PoE than its own supplies give. The cable has a green-band connector and a yellow-band connector, which set the direction of the ring. Each switch connects to two cables, one to each neighbor, so a ring of four switches uses four cables.

StackPower is separate from data stacking, which uses STACK-T1 cables. The Catalyst 9300L-M has no StackPower ports, so this cable does not apply to it. The 150cm length closes the ring from the bottom switch back to the top in a stack of three or four, or reaches switches a few rack units apart; the 30cm CAB-SPWR-30CM-M suits switches mounted directly above one another.

This cable fits switches such as the C9300-48P-M 48-port PoE+ switch, the C9300-48U-M 48-port UPoE switch, and the C9300X-24HX-M.
