The Cisco Meraki CW9163E-MR is an outdoor Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) access point in the Meraki cloud-managed version. It runs three 2x2 client radios on 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz, for a maximum PHY rate of 3.9 Gbps, plus an IoT radio and a tri-band scanning radio. The housing is rated IP67.
Antennas are external and are not included. Four N-type connectors take the CW-ANT-O1-NS-00 omnidirectional or CW-ANT-D1-NS-00 patch antennas, and a built-in GPS receiver can use an external antenna on the RP-SMA port. That lets one AP cover a courtyard with omni antennas or aim down a corridor or across a field with patches.
The uplink is one Multigigabit RJ-45 port at 100M, 1G, or 2.5G. Full 2x2 operation on all bands needs 802.3at PoE+ at up to 25.5W; on 802.3af the radios drop to 1x1. The unit is 9.6 inches square and weighs 3.3 lb without mounts. The 6 GHz band needs a Wi-Fi 6E or newer client, while older devices connect on 2.4 and 5 GHz.
