This hot-swappable transceiver supports link distances up to 80 km and is suitable for use in Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks where high-capacity transport on existing infrastructure is required. Compatible with standard compliant X2 slots commonly found in older Catalyst switches or routers, it uses one transmit and one receive port via duplex SC interface optics.
