NEW Cisco Meraki MS130-8P-HW 8x 1GB PoE+ RJ45 2x 1GB SFP (120W) Unclaimed Switch

The Cisco Meraki MS130-8P-HW is a compact 8-port PoE+ access switch managed from the Meraki Dashboard. It has eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports with 802.3at PoE+ and two 1 Gigabit SFP uplinks, with 20 Gbps of switching capacity. There is no dedicated management port; setup and monitoring run from the cloud.

The PoE budget is 120W at up to 30W per port, enough for four access points at full power or all eight ports for phones and cameras. It is fanless and runs from the MA-PWR-150WAC-ADP external 150W adapter at 54VDC. The chassis measures 8.74 x 6 x 1.1 inches, weighs 1.94 lb, and mounts on a desk or with the integrated wall mount.

The MS130 series does not stack physically. Virtual stacking in the Dashboard lets you change port settings across many switches at once, so a site with several closets is still run as one network from the cloud. Common uses are a small branch, a conference room, or a reception desk.

For 10 Gigabit uplinks and 2.5 Gigabit ports for Wi-Fi 6 access points, the MS130-8X-HW is the step up, and the MS130-12X-HW with 240W PoE+ adds ports and budget. For a fiber uplink, the MA-SFP-1GB-SX multimode SFP fits. The switch is sold unclaimed; a Meraki license is required, purchased separately.
