It enables reliable communication over distances of 30m on OM3 fibers and extends reach to 100m or even 150m when paired with enhanced MMF types like OM4/OM5. Bi-Di technology allows signal transmission through a single duplex-LC connection by splitting the wavelengths into TX and RX within set ranges, making it efficient in high-density setups requiring minimal cabling infrastructure upgrades. Ideal applications include short-reach data center interconnects supporting faceplate density challenges where rack space optimization matters significantly.
